Network Security

Unlike our competitors, all servers hosted on Netservers networks are firewall
protected by default. When your server first goes online, it is completely shielded
from all Internet traffic by a dedicated FireRack appliance.

Each customer's servers are placed in their own firewalled "Security Zone". No network
connections from either the Internet, or other Netservers customers are permitted into
your security zone without first passing the firewall rules for your security zone.

You control the firewall rules for your Security Zone using a secure, easy to use web-based control panel. This control panel allows you to control all connections going to or coming from your server. It also enables you to redirect traffic to different ports or IP addresses. Unlike "Personal" firewalls that run on the server, it cannot be disabled by a virus or trojan horse. Nor is it possible for you to cut yourself off from the control panel itself.
